Description

Warm golden fur, swathed in sandalwood and doused in honey. Sweet myrrh purrs behind a sensuous, rosy skin, misted with oakmoss and dappled in the rich shades of a leopard pelt. A cosy, caramel comfort glows from a gourmand heart, while sweet Tonka slinks an opulent softness upon your skin.

PERFUMERS INSPIRATION

The muse for this perfume was our perfumers Bengal cat, Mimi. Captivated by the beauty of her fur, Liz has not created a literal interpretation for this perfume, rather a re-imagining of the notes that lay upon her leopard coat. Bengale Rouge reflects the comfort and warmth that so many of us receive from our pets, as well as doing justice to Mimi’s natural elegance and grace. Liz intentionally moved away from dramatic, feral notes and focused upon a domesticated cosiness that would embrace the wearer with the same snugness and pleasure that she feels when she holds her cat. She included some of the exotic facets of the Bengal cats’ origins; unique, elegant and striking, capturing the majesty and mystery of these beautiful creatures in a sumptuous and soft perfume.

how to apply

Perfume is more than adornment, it is ritual, memory, and expression.

Begin with clean, moisturised skin to help the fragrance linger.

Apply to the pulse points: the wrists, neck, behind the ears, places where the blood stirs just beneath the skin, warming the scent and releasing its story.

One or two sprays are all that’s needed. A soft dab, if using extrait. Let it settle naturally - do not rub, as this disturbs the composition and bruises the unfolding of the notes.

For a lighter presence, mist the air and walk through, a veil of scent, barely spoken.

Store away from sunlight and heat, as you would something rare and precious. Let the perfume become part of your presence, discovered, never declared.
